Facilitation Principles

Flights to be facilitated

  • In accordance with the amended EU-Regulation 95/93 and Regulation 155/2008 issued by the Ministry of Transport, Innovation & Technology of Austria, all schedule and planned charter flights have to be facilitated.
  • Due to capacity restrictions also positioning flights (Code “P”), technical flights (Code “T”), training flights (Code “K”) and technical stops (Code “X”) have to be facilitated and will be tested against the relevant capacity.

Flights not to be facilitated:

  • General Aviation Flights (Codes “D” and “N”); governmental flights (service type “E”); ambulance -, rescue – or humanitarian flights (service type “U”); state – or diplomatic flights (service type “I”) and military flights (service type “W”).
  • Operationally required ad hoc flights within the following 48 hours. This rule does not apply for flights with service type codes “C”, “G” and “J”.
  • Operationally required changes of already facilitated flights within the next 48 hours. This rule does not apply for flights with service type codes “C”, “G” and “J”.
  • However, the airport operator has to be informed about the above mentioned flights in advance.
